Candyland

I first photographed Christina in August when she trashed her wedding dress in Paris.  She had so much fun she wanted to do it again!   Christina loved my idea of driving out to a colorful French village and doing a candy/dessert theme photoshoot.  Yummy props included candy sprinkles in her hair, lollipops, cotton candy, cupcakes, bubblegum, candy necklaces, maraschino cherries, whipped cream, marshmallows, petits fours sucrés and of course no French dessert photoshoot would be complete without les macarons Ladurée.

I would like to thank Madame Liss from the B&B where we stayed, Maison d’hôtes de Mme LISS Hermine in Ribeauvillé, who was kind enough to give Christina a pair of her tights.  It was freezing and, as it was Sunday in France, all the shops were closed.  What a lifesaver!   Also, special thanks to everyone at Hotel Restaurant au Lion for letting us shoot on their beautiful terrace.  And most importantly, an extra special merci beaucoup to my wonderful husband for driving 14 hours in 2 days and for being the best assistant ever!

Angela Johnson’s T-Shirt Ball Gown ~ Paris Fashion Photography

I recently photographed this eco-friendly t-shirt ball gown designed by Angela Johnson.  Every dress is a one of a kind and made entirely from whatever vintage t-shirts can be scavenged from the thrift store.  You can even choose the color and logo theme! Some of the logo’s on this red hot dress: Coca-Cola, Inspi(red), Amsterdam Red Light District, a Gandhi quote.  And my favorite – I love my valentine.

Check out Angela’s website for more of her couture t-shirt fashions.

Christina’s Trash the Dress ~ Paris Bridal Photography

Christina is a British bride whose husband Dave is currently working and living in Paris.  The two are separated a lot, but they both go back and forth so they can be together as much as possible.  Although Christina lives in England, she thought it would be romantic to trash her dress in Paris because so much of their precious time together is now spent in this beautiful city. Christina was awesome and up for anything which made the shoot a lot of fun.  As her Trash the Dress session progressed her dress became très dirty.  So when I suggested we end the photo shoot in a big fountain, Christina happily replied “Let’s do it! If it’s going out, it’s going out in style.”  And as you can see in the photos, she really did just that!
