Jess And Matt ~ Paris Anniversary/Engagement Shoot

Jess and Matt came to Paris from the UK to celebrate their anniversary.  They are not yet married, but they have been together for 8 years.  During their anniversary shoot they asked if I could recommend a romantic restaurant for dinner that night.  I suggested Sorza, an intimate and très chic restaurant on the Ile Saint Louis.  They took my suggestion and after dinner Matt proposed to Jess and she said yes.  Their anniversary shoot turned into an engagement shoot!

Le Poulbot

A second Paris photo of the day for a more romantique view of Paris.  I shot this photo with black and white film and printed it on gelatin silver paper.  I then added color by painting the photograph with pastel photo oil paints.

Gala Darling in Paris ~ Part 2 ~ Pretty in Pink

I shot most of this series of Gala Darling at L’Hôtel du Petit Moulin, a truly unique hotel in Le Marais and absolutely perfect for a photo shoot!  I love, love, love everything about Gala’s pretty in pink outfit.  Pink hat and veil, bunny ears and a skull belt!!!  As always, her style is fabulous and so original.  You can see Gala’s blue series here.

Gala Darling in Paris ~ Part 1

Last month I photographed international playgirl/fashion blogger Gala Darling when she was on vacation with her best friend Nubby Twiglet here in Paris.  If you don’t already know who she is, head on over to her très inspiring website about life, love, art, fashion and all things magique in New York and around the world.  Gala is utterly adorable and her style is so awesome that  Fashionista named her one of the 10 most influential style bloggers in the world.

In this next photo, Gala was trying to figure out how she could hang upside down from the jungle gym.

This next shot is my favorite from this series.

Candyland

I first photographed Christina in August when she trashed her wedding dress in Paris.  She had so much fun she wanted to do it again!   Christina loved my idea of driving out to a colorful French village and doing a candy/dessert theme photoshoot.  Yummy props included candy sprinkles in her hair, lollipops, cotton candy, cupcakes, bubblegum, candy necklaces, maraschino cherries, whipped cream, marshmallows, petits fours sucrés and of course no French dessert photoshoot would be complete without les macarons Ladurée.

I would like to thank Madame Liss from the B&B where we stayed, Maison d’hôtes de Mme LISS Hermine in Ribeauvillé, who was kind enough to give Christina a pair of her tights.  It was freezing and, as it was Sunday in France, all the shops were closed.  What a lifesaver!   Also, special thanks to everyone at Hotel Restaurant au Lion for letting us shoot on their beautiful terrace.  And most importantly, an extra special merci beaucoup to my wonderful husband for driving 14 hours in 2 days and for being the best assistant ever!

Angela Johnson’s T-Shirt Ball Gown ~ Paris Fashion Photography

I recently photographed this eco-friendly t-shirt ball gown designed by Angela Johnson.  Every dress is a one of a kind and made entirely from whatever vintage t-shirts can be scavenged from the thrift store.  You can even choose the color and logo theme! Some of the logo’s on this red hot dress: Coca-Cola, Inspi(red), Amsterdam Red Light District, a Gandhi quote.  And my favorite – I love my valentine.

Check out Angela’s website for more of her couture t-shirt fashions.
