Jess And Matt ~ Paris Anniversary/Engagement Shoot

Jess and Matt came to Paris from the UK to celebrate their anniversary.  They are not yet married, but they have been together for 8 years.  During their anniversary shoot they asked if I could recommend a romantic restaurant for dinner that night.  I suggested Sorza, an intimate and très chic restaurant on the Ile Saint Louis.  They took my suggestion and after dinner Matt proposed to Jess and she said yes.  Their anniversary shoot turned into an engagement shoot!

Constance and Damien ~ Valentine’s Love Shoot in Paris

For their Valentine’s Love Shoot, Constance and Damien brought along a lock engraved with the French word chaton (kitten in English) to attach to the Pont des Arts.  After attaching their lovelock to the bridge, Damien threw the key into the Seine River.  Très romantique!!!

See more from this photo shoot on facebook.  You can download the Je t’aime Valentine’s cards from Eat Drink Chic by Amy Moss.

Carly and Brian ~ Los Angeles Engagement Photography

Carly and Brian’s proposal story is so romantic.  The proposal took place in Southern California during an 8 1/2 mile round trip hike to Simi Peak and the lovely cluster of oak trees at China Flat.  While they were enjoying the magnifique view from the top of Simi Peak, Brian proposed to Carly with his mother’s original ring.  How special is that?!

I’m really looking forward to shooting this adorable couple’s wedding next May, but first I want to share a couple photos from their engagement session that I shot when I was in Los Angeles.

Carly wanted the couple’s wedding colors, purple and green, in the engagement pictures so we decided to do their photo shoot at the beautiful Descanso Gardens, a perfect location.  Brian, a lover of film photography, wanted classic black and white photographs.

I used color and b&w film for this shoot.  These are scans of the prints.  The black & white photographs are a gelatin silver prints.

Félicitations, Carly and Brian!  See you in May!

xoxo
